Our Raffia is lighter weight, so it can be woven tighter, retains color without fading and is just as breathable. Also Javits’ raffia doesn’t,”melt” when wet, splinter or split over time because it doesn’t get dried out, like most natural fiber straw materials. Eric Javits’ raffia materials, underscored by function, continue to evolve each season. We are proud to introduce new intricate weaves and artisanal textures into the mix.
