"I purchased the Squishee® Instinct in natural black for our trip to Egypt. The performance of this hat is outstanding. I received many compliments from other tourists, and Egyptians. We were on a non-tourist expedition that took us inside pyramids that are rarely visited. Most of the passages were small, cramped and dusty. My hat was a lifesaver as it protected my head going down very long and steep passageways into the bedrock. My hat took the brunt of all the scrapes and banging. Yet, it looks just like brand new! The humidity and heat in some of the pyramids was extreme. The headband did a fantastic job absorbing the sweat. At night it was very easy to wipe off all the dust to restore it to looking like new. This hat was worth every penny!"

What is the difference between this hat (The Instinct) and the Phoenix?: Hi Franci, They are both fedoras the difference is the brim span and how the brim goes down vs flat out. The phoenix brim span is 3.25" andthe brim kind of goes down. The Sq Instinct brim span is 3.5" and the brim is flat out. Eric Javits Team
