Looks great but "packable" is misleading
"I'm torn. This hat looks fantastic on me and fits my medium-sized head well, but since it was called "packable" and made of "squishee" material, I thought that meant you could squish it, roll it up, fit it into a carry-on suitcase. However, you really can't. Inside the hat, it says to pack it upside down in suitcase, placing clothes around it to support the brim. That's how you pack any wide brim hat. The kicker is that I could not pack it inside a carry-on because it's simply too wide: it's 16" across and the interior of my suitcase is 13. 9" wide inside. I'm still deciding if I want to keep it, knowing I'd have to haul a larger bag up stairs and onto ferries just to fit my hat, or get a magnetic hat clip and hope for the best."

- How do I best clean the hat and in particular the band inside from makeup and sweat
- To clean: Use a light detergent, such as dish soap and a capful of white distilled vinegar, to clean. Although gentle, it is powerful enough to remove grease or filth. You can spot clean with hot water after diluting it. You might also use a white terry cloth towel or a gentle brush. Ensure the detergent doesn't remove the color by testing it first underneath the hat. You might even give a TIDE pen a try.

- I bought this hat specifically to roll and pack. However, inside the hat are packing instructions suggesting one should pack it upside down, put clothing inside the crown and pack other clothing around to “protect” the hat. So, is this hat rollable and packable or not?
- Hi Joanne, The Hampton hat is indeed a packable/rollable hat. We always place packing instructions with all our hats that says "stuff with small clothing items or hosiery" even if the hat is rollable. - I bought the Daphne hat for myself and it’s to tight and doesn’t fit. I’m returning it for credit. Is Hampton any looser? I believe I’m a 7 1/2 hat size.
