Inspired by tales of Greek and Roman mythology, Eric Javits named this Squishee straw hat fedora after the goddess Daphne because she succeeded in attaining immortality when victoriously escaping the sun god Apollo.
The Squishee straw hat Daphne fedora offers a wide 4.5" brim that gives you shade for your head, face, neck, and ears. We built it from our patented Squishee® a sustainable man-made material that uses some recycled fibers.
Squishee® is lightweight, lasts long, and packs easily, so you can bring it with you anywhere you go this summer.
For travel, pack Daphne upside down in your suitcase. Fill the crown with stockings and use nearby items to support the brim. When you unpack, Daphne will look perfect.
Daphne's fedora has a 50+ UPF rating. It blocks up to 98% of the sun's harmful rays, stopping sunburn and too much sun exposure.
